Deeply engaged with the worlds of soccer, social impact, and travel, third half soccer has a thriving community of people out there exploring the world, making a big difference, and living their best lives. We’re always looking for stories from fresh voices, sharing their experiences and insights with the world, and we want to hear from you!

We’re accepting guest-written content on any and all of the following topics:

Personal Travelogue

Do you travel with purpose? Are volunteering, eco-tourism, and sports your jam? Great - we want to hear about it! Write about your experience, include some photos or videos, and we’ll get your story published and shared with our community.

Social Impact

Do you work with a nonprofit, social enterprise, or government program, engaging underserved or at-risk communities around the world? We want to hear about the great work you’re doing, and share your innovations and successes with the world!

Sports

How have sports made a meaningful impact in your life? How have you used then to make a powerful difference for others? How have you seen or used sport as a tool for social change? Tell us your story, and we’ll help spread the word.

A few important dos and don’ts:

DO:

• Be well-written. Please be organized, tell a great story, and proofread your work.
• Be thoughtful of your story’s length. This is an online publication, and most people are reading from their computers, phones, and tablets. We don’t have any specific length requirements but please be thoughtful of your audience. Entries should be exactly as long as you need to tell your story - no more, no less.
• Include any photos, videos, links, references, and citations, we can use to add context, depth, and impact to your piece.
• Provide a call-to-action. What do you want people to do next? Where can they go for additional information, or to take meaningful action once you’ve inspired them with your story?
• Include a photo of yourself, title, and 1-2 sentence bio. One link back to your own website is fine, and we’ll use it here!

DON’T:

• Explicitly promote yourself or third-party services.
• Write just to build links back to your own site.
• Plagiarize, duplicate, copy, steal, cheat, or otherwise infringe on anyone else’s copyright.
• Duplicate content already on our site. We’re happy to publish stories that are similar in some ways, or expand on topics we’ve covered already, but if it doesn’t add some sort of new ideas, context, or perspectives, we’re not going to publish it.

All sound good? Great. All content submitted will be reviewed by our team, and evaluated for quality and content fit. We’ll make the final call on whether or not to publish content submitted to us. We reserve the right not to publish your blog if it does not meet our criteria, but if changes are needed, we’ll do our best to work with you to make the story something we’re proud to have on our blog.
