According to the global development organization Oxfam: “To be effective Global Citizens… young people need to be flexible, creative and proactive. They need to be able to solve problems, make decisions, think critically, communicate ideas effectively and work well within teams and groups.
These skills and attributes are increasingly recognised as being essential to succeed in other areas of 21st century life too, including many workplaces.”

By experiencing global issues through the eyes of the people they directly affect, you’ll gain a better understanding of the challenges facing young people around the world and how we can solve them together. Changing the world is a team sport.

Soccer is often called ‘the world’s only common language’. According to FIFA, world soccer’s governing body, there are more than 3.5 billion soccer players and fans around the world – that’s half the population of planet Earth. That makes soccer a great way to see the world and to understand different cultures and societies.

We use soccer to create a ‘level playing field’ between you and your hosts. By seeing how they experience soccer, you’ll understand how they experience life, whether it’s watching a game with a family in a Brazilian favela, playing pick up on the streets of Delhi or attending a pro soccer match with thousands of local fans.It doesn’t matter if you’re an experienced player or you never kicked a ball in your life.

Our experiences use soccer as an immersive tool to help you interact with and understand your hosts.

Every third half experience is a transformative, educational journey of dynamic and high-growth activities.

SOCCER
– Activities that allow you to experience the power of the game known as ‘the world’s common language’, whether you’re a lifelong fan or an absolute beginner.

CULTURE– Activities that allow you to experience what life is like for people in your host community and to sample the unique flavor of your destination.

“YOU JUST CAN’T DO THIS IN A CLASSROOM. THE WAY OUR KIDS HAVE CONNECTED WITH LOCAL PEOPLE THROUGH SOCCER IS BETTER THAN I’VE EVER SEEN BEFORE.”
