In a previous life I was a soccer reporter for the BBC. It was pretty much the best job in the world - I got paid to travel the world, watching and talking about soccer. Time and time again I came across incredible stories about how the game was breaking down barriers, changing lives and bringing people together - so much so that my editors got sick of me trying to get these stories on air!

That’s why I co-founded the third half - to give more people the chance to learn about and experience the unique power of soccer - and that’s why we’re very excited to launch our new website that will make it much easier for you to connect to this incredible world that I have been lucky enough to experience.

We’re super excited about the launch of our new website and hope that it will make it a lot easier for travelers to search, find and book incredible experiences that are right for them. New features we’ve added include a Live Chat so you can talk directly to our team, Featured Trips and Individual Trips - so even if you’re not part of a school, soccer club or corporation you can still get in the game and make friends with like-minded people along the way - and we’ll be unveiling more new features, innovations and destinations in the next few months.

Another new feature is our Blog, where we’ll be bringing you regular updates from the world of soccer, education and responsible travel. We’ll have guest contributions from social entrepreneurs, education experts, pro soccer players, past third half travelers talking about their experiences and young people from the communities they visited talking about how the trip impacted their lives.

All this - and more-  will be featured in our regular Newsletter which you can sign up for via the website and will keep you updated with all our latest news and developments.

We’ve been on an incredible journey so far using the power of soccer as a vehicle for education and social impact. We’ve taken high-school students from the USA to Ireland to learn about the European refugee crisis, we’ve taken a Japanese soccer club to Lesotho to support the fight against HIV and Aids, we’ve taken a pro soccer player to experience another dimension of his profession in Cape Verde and a group of solo travelers to experience the true meaning of passionate soccer culture in Colombia during the FIFA World Cup.
