You’ll join us and a group of 15 – 25 other amazing humans who are ready to make some incredible memories.

It doesn’t matter if you’re an experienced soccer player or if you’ve never kicked a ball in your life. We use soccer as the immersive tool to help you interact with and understand your local hosts.

Your trip to the beautiful seaside city of Recife, Brazil will be hosted by the the respected, local non-profit organization ‘’

love.fútbol mobilizes and engages communities to plan, build, manage, activate and redefine their own soccer pitches as sustainable platforms for social change. raises funds to finance raw materials, provide technical guidance and facilitate the execution of the project. Community members contribute with their talents, ideas, labor and other local resources, serving as partners and agents of change in the process.

We’ve designed a program with a variety of activities that culture, education and soccer, including:

  • Attendance of capoeira and samba events
  • third half curriculum workshops
  • Visiting projects and meeting with local leaders
  • Pickup futsal games with youth in a local favela
  • Traditional Brazilian beach soccer match
  • Training session with Sport Clube do Recife youth coach

Experience profile


Day 1:

Fly out from your hometown.

Day 2:

Arrival to Recife International airport. Transfer to accommodations. Lunch and boat tour in colonial area of the city. Dinner at local barbecue restaurant. Introductions and love.fútbol presentation.

Day 3:

Training Session 1. Visit two love.fútbol projects and meeting with local leaders. Light pickup game. Global Leadership Development Workshop 1: Global Leadership and International Development.

Day 4

Soccer Training Session with Sport Club do Recife’s Youth Coach, friendly Game #1 with Sport Club do Recife Youth team. Attend professional match (subject to availability and additional cost).

Day 5

Tour Arena Pernambuco Stadium. Soccer Game. Build day (painting a mural) and barbecue. Global Leadership Development Workshop 2: Social Entrepreneurship and Design Thinking.

Day 6

Futvolei training with a professional coach. Visit a beach soccer project for kids. Attend local Capoeira event.

Day 7

Guided city sightseeing Tour. Friendly Beach Soccer match. *Attend Professional Match in World Cup Stadium (*subject to availability and additional cost).

Day 8

Travel to love.fútbol’s 3rd project in the region. Afternoon Pick-up futsal Game with community.

Day 9

Dive in natural swimming pools of Maragogi. Transfer back to Recife. Sightseeing and free time downtown.

Day 10

Morning Pick-up Game. Attend a local Samba event. Global Leadership Development Workshop 3: The Right to Play and Community Development.

Day 11

Morning leisure time for sightseeing and souvenir shopping. Farewell Activity with love.fútbol.

Day 12

Transfer to airport and fly home.

During your visit you will visit local projects and experience how they have changed the lives of young people in the community. Thanks to your visit, will be able to achieve goals like:

  • Building an outdoor classroom next to one of our community soccer fields
  • Constructing a kiosk next to a soccer field which can become a hub for community business and social entrepreneurship
  • Building a playground for local children

In the case that your trip is cancelled due to insufficient travelers, our
Flexible Deposit Policy guarantees you won’t lose your deposit. You’ll have the option to choose from 1) a full refund of the total amount paid or 2) the ability to put the deposit toward another ‘the third half’ experience with the right of first refusal.

Important reminders

Appropriate attire for service projects– students should be wearing Bermuda or basketball length shorts or pants. This is especially important to females. T-shirts should cover the chest and shoulders- nothing too low cut, and no undergarments should ever be showing. Appropriate attire for touring– students will be visiting temples and museums throughout their program. All students will be expected to have their shoulders and knees covered. Please be sure to bring at least one pair of lightweight capris and t-shirts that are modest (no v-neck/low cut tees). *Business casual outfit– a long sleeved collared shirt and lightweight trousers will work best for boys. A long skirt and appropriate shirt is ideal for girls.
