Cape Verde: Delta Cultura

Every the third half trip is built around a curriculum designed to develop your Social & Emotional Intelligence (SEI). We focus on 21st century learning skills like grit, initiative, curiosity and critical thinking through a blend of collaborative workshops and hands-on experiences with local people.

Your trip will be hosted by the respected non-profit organization ‘Delta Cultura’, which gets young people off the streets and educates them for a better future and to live a socially responsible life. Soccer is used as a tool for social change and as a motivation for the children and adolescents to take part in other educational and cultural programs.

During your CAPE VERDE experience you will:

  • Play friendly soccer matches against local teams on beautiful fields
  • Participate in a walking tour of Lisbon, Portugal, including the Plaza del Rossio, Lisbon Cathedral “La Sé”, and the Castle of San Jorge
  • Tour the Benfica Estadio da Luz Stadium and its museum and megastore, and train at the Benfica Academy training complex “Caixa Futebol Campus”
  • Visit idyllic beaches and play soccer in Tarrafal, Cape Verde
  • Tutor kids at the Delta Culture Education Center, and play alongside the children in a specially designed football3 tournament
